Mary Anderson, FNP-C
Mary Anderson is Dr. Lee’s Nurse Practitioner and has been with Amarillo Spine Institute since 2020. Mary grew up in England, and was a Dental Hygienist before returning to college for nursing. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science from West Texas A&M University in 2006, and then graduated from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with her Masters of Science degree in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2011. Mary lives in Canyon, and is married to a Lieutenant on the Amarillo Fire Department. She has 5 children and one grandson, Ryland. Mary enjoys baseball, football, and shopping.
Jennifer Yaws, FNP-C
Jennifer Yaws is a nurse practitioner with the Amarillo Spine Institute. Raised in Borger, TX, she moved to Amarillo in 1996. She graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1998. Most of her nursing career has been dedicated to caring for patients in the ER and ICU. Jennifer furthered her education, obtaining a Master’s in Nursing Administration in 2010 and a Master’s in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner in 2011. She has had the privilege of working in various areas as a nurse and nurse practitioner, finding joy in each role. Passionate about helping others, Jennifer is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients at the Amarillo Spine Institute. Jennifer is a single mother to a beautiful daughter and stays busy keeping up with her and their three active dogs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, and gardening.
Izzy Venzor, FNP-C
Izzy Venzor is a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner with experience providing care to individuals with acute and chronic pain. She was raised in Dumas, TX, then moved to Amarillo. Izzy graduated from Amarillo College with an Associate Degree in nursing, then went on to further her degree and obtained a Master’s in nursing through West Texas A&M. Her nursing career was dedicated to oncology patients, which gave her a strong foundation in assessing, diagnosing, and developing personalized treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of pain.
Having worked in various healthcare settings, including pain management clinics and multidisciplinary pain teams, Izzy has expertise in utilizing evidence-based approaches to manage a wide range of conditions, from musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain to complex, chronic conditions. Izzy is skilled in pharmacological management, non-pharmacological therapies, and patient education to improve quality of life and functional outcomes.
Izzy is passionate about patient-centered care and is committed to empowering individuals by collaborating with them to achieve pain relief, enhance mobility, and restore a sense of well-being. Through continuous education and training, Izzy stays current with the latest advancements in pain management to provide the most effective, safe, and innovative care.
Izzy is married and has four children. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and family time.
